What Cases Do Prosthodontists Treat?
Prosthodontists treat complex cases, which can involve the difficult reconstruction of just one tooth or the entire mouth. Many referrals accepted by a Prosthodontist come from general dentists or other dental specialists. Prosthodontists will also provide multidisciplinary care by liaising with other dental specialists and general dentists to achieve the appropriate outcome. Multidisciplinary care is often coordinated by the Prosthodontist, as it is the Prosthodontist who provides the holistic reconstructive care plan.
